A: When there were changes here in the provision of pay TV, I was curious to look on TV to see what I would find related to music, and specifically to bands. Looking I found festivals aimed at specific bands and audiences. The first festival I came across was the Hurricane Festival. I was happy to find younger people from another generation using music as a form of expression through bands, where it is possible to see live who is part of the band and plays which musical instrument, not the so-called electronic music where basically a single person (DJ?) manipulates recordings, effects, oscillators, sequencers, and it is much more difficult to know if that person is the author of something, basically a co-author, but in general the public just wants to know about having fun as a paying public, and the current ticket price is not cheap. For bands, the collective alternative of live performances is better if the band cannot attract a larger number of people on its own, it has been like this for decades, and nothing points to any change in relation to the matter. The musical spectrum of the Hurricane Festival is basically a mix of rock, pop, disco, musical experiments, new bands, and also those who managed to stay in the new music scene related to bands of that musical proposal, it is not difficult to imagine that each new band has the influence of punk music. One of those bands performed live last weekend in this city at the Lollapalooza festival, playing a mix more pop than disco, and more disco than rock, a sound that is still a trend and convergence for a moderate audience, specifically female, but nowadays not even disco music is the same anymore, it has become more elaborate, more intellectual, even existential. Incredible. Another festival I found was the High Voltage Festival, with a musical spectrum more directed towards rock, hard rock, including heavy metal, but not specifically for it, but the festival is no longer held. ... I can't say with 100% certainty that in that new standard of quality in the music entertainment industry, bands have a monetary return, if in practice they are just doing an exchange to promote their work, but I can say with 100% certainty that telemarketing only serves to harm a person during working hours, really!
